Took that !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and turned it a little, so you can see what’s goin on. Fought a bizarre, inexplicable wifi/router issue (solved), cooked a good dinner, read books before bed, have to get up early.

I’m exhausted, y’all. There’s so much more I want to do. I have no idea how to get anything done when everything around me just... breaks. I’m trying not let it all break me.

The tail reminds me a ton of the A110

I seem to get that reaction on a lot of sketches.

You’ve drawn it quite well.

Would love to see someone build it.

If people are likening it to the A110... I would enjoy seeing your take on the much more angular A610.

Well, thanks. It seems nearly every rear view sketch gets some Alpine remark... maybe because I like the longtails. I’ll have to give the 610 a try sometime, good call. I’ve only ever seen one of those in person.

Yeah, pretty much the anti-911. I’ve long thought it would be hilarious to put a twin turbocharged SVX-sourced EG33 flat-6 and AWD drivetrain with flipped differentials (basically a backwards Subaru, or just like a 996 or newer Carrera 4)

I am not sure there is a direct connection, because I am not sure who designed the Renault Alpine GTA and A610... but they bear striking resemblances to Giugiaro designs of the period, and previous ones, especially DeLorean DMC12, which shares the A310/GTA/A610 architecture and engine. Subaru SVX is also a Giugiaro design of the late 80s and early 90s.

I would really love to see a 30 year revision that would mesh aspects of the SVX’s futuristic details, interior, and engineering with A610/GTA’s rear-engine layout, and sleek profile.

It really would be a sleeker, somewhat more angular, and more affordable Grand Touring alternative to 911.

Engineering-wise, I would think a flat-6 involved PHEV system with an electric front axle with regen charging and such...

I love it. Take an oddball and make it more extremely odd. My kinda shit.

Then you’d probably love my recent mental exercise... a Ferrari Mondial coupe converted to a BEV (a 308 GTB has already been done that way) with 288 GTO style wide-body fenders...

Kinja'd!!!

No more Ferrari maintenance costs... Not much headache dealing with mid-engined mechanicals, as they probably don’t need much attention once installed.

No more being the slowest Ferrari in history with LOADs of instant torque

and could probably be done with very good results under 6-figures, including a rust-free donor car , especially if the donor needs expensive mechanical work. Maybe slightly less fire risk from the batteries, compared to fuel system leaks... being a fir e-ari.

Great for day trips and car shows, not really too concerned with range anxiety for long multi-day road trips, as it probably is too vulnerable to damage, and 80's- era italian sports-car uncomfortable for that anyway, but it of course would have a plug in high-current charging circuit in place for charging stations.

A Telsa Model S or 3 performance dual-motor rear axle module in the engine bay, and battery boxes under a parcel shelf where the rear +2 seats used to be... and a Motec control system with a full-digital dashboard, and some 17" chromodora replica wheels under the fender flares. A big 360 Challenge Stradale or similar diffuser where the exhaust system used to be under the rear bumper.

Think Tesla Model 3 Performance meets a Radwood-ready Ferrari.

I’d have to put a little something somewhere that would say “Who’s this Gary character?”  Just to see who would get the reference.

I am 100% on board with this. I’ve always kinda liked the Mondial, and bitchin it up with some 288GTO-style beef would be hot as hell. I’ve seen some videos of that electric 308, absolutely dig it.
